The steelwork is now erected giving an impression of the new main hall’s size and shape. The ‘service’ building ie the reception, bar, kitchen, WCs, storerooms etc is also starting to take shape with the block- and brickwork perimeter walls being built.
The picture below shows the poured concrete floors again completed throughout the building footprint. It won’t be long before the main hall roof and cladding appears and the ‘service’ building roof trusses are lifted into situ when the brick walls are completed.

A big thank you to all those brick namers who have joined in the campaign to be part of hall (wall) history. Passers-by will be able to see the wall taking shape at the moment (mid-March). Looks like it won’t be long to completion.
